14x18 soft pastel on art spectrum suede
This is the larger version based on yesterday's study. At first it seemed easy and the study was helpful but I ended up brushing it down three times. It's done, maybe I'll revisit it later. I'm not completely happy with it. Sometimes pastels seem to paint themselves, when they are this difficult I put away the pastels and give myself a break. If I paint tomorrow it will be in oils.
