"The Trail"
11"x14" Terry Ludwig pastels on pastelmat
We spent a wonderful day yesterday in Boston and ate at a sidewalk café on Newbury Street. Between the heat lamps and the gorgeous sunshine we were comfortable eating outside.
The occasion was a visit to Vose Galleries for a book signing and pastel demonstration by Liz Haywood Sullivan. The book is gorgeous but her pastels in real life were even more beautiful. I learned a lot and can't wait to try out some of her techniques.
Wow, this is beautiful and reminds me so much of a place I know. Except the field to the far right would be a lake! Amazing, it makes me feel I am there hiking around the lake. Shows you how the viewer can read their own interpretation into a piece, huh?
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking snowshoeing and someone else said sleigh ride. I think I'm finally leaving details to the imagination.
