Day 3 of 30 in 30
I set this up and sketched it the night before.  When I woke up I didn't want to paint it.  I realized that it was because I knew it would be difficult to stay loose especially with a very tight drawing.  So I challenged myself.  I started by toning the canvas red, something I have never done and the red I used was vermillion. I realized early on that this was about the light hitting the tea box and the cast shadow of the antique tea strainer and not at all about the little tea pot.  I haven't decided yet but this may still be a wipe-out.  30 in 30 is difficult enough - I can't expect 30 good ones!

  5. I like it, too, Sandra. Can we talk you into at least putting it away for a few days before you decide whether to wipe it??? I know what you mean, though, about not being able to expect ourselves to paint 30 glorious paintings in 30 days. That would be way too much pressure....more important to have fun!
