Dancing Queen

"Dancing Queen" 6x6 oil
Available through Sullivan Fine Art Gallery, Bedford NH

30 0f 30 in 30 !!!!! The end of the Challenge
I painted "30 paintings in 30 days" with Leslie Saeta and before that I painted
"a painting a day for 30 days" - 60 paintings in the last 60 days!

Every bit of it was fun.  I especially enjoyed making new on-line friends although I am still blog-challenged.  I have yet to figure out the difference between following a site and becoming a member.  I tried to make a list of the blogs I follow and ended up becoming a member of my own site. I know I am in circles and have others in circles but I'm not touching that button until I know what it means!

I will continue painting although I am pretty sure I will not be painting tomorrow.  My plan is to do a few larger works (when you paint 6x6 even 8x8 is larger!) I'd like to set up a complex still life and work on it over the course of a week.  I am still in love with landscapes and I feel the 5x7 format does not do them justice. I am still torn between oil and pastel so I will continue to do both.

To Leslie Saeta and everyone else in the challenge - thanks, its been fun.

  1. I too am challenged by all the buttons to do with blogging. I need to spend more time with it, but had rather paint. Beautiful zinnia!

  3. I love this zinnia...and the chili from yesterday too.
The best thing about the challenge has been seeing new artists work and I think for the next one, I will not participate, but take more time to find great new artists to enjoy - like you.

  5. Sandra, your zinnias are my favorites, ever! Congratulations on the challenge...it has been great meeting you and seeing your wonderful work. You will figure out the blogging as you go, I am sure. I am no expert, but if I can ever help you with anything blogging related, feel free to let me know. I don't join any blogs or anything like that. I use feedly.com and put all the blogs I follow into one feed. It's fantastic--you just scroll down to where you left off and you see all the blogs you like, and you always know when an artist you follow has posted, without having to get any emails about it. Your blog is in my feedly...!
